I hear ya, but the fat is I can't wait. I've got several different
projects that are on hold because I don't have a device to play back what
I am rendering at 30FPS. Right now I am rendering everything
uncompressed to my HD at 900K per frame, and I'm running out of HD space
real fast. I may just get a removable HD for now and just take the images
down to somebody who has a PAR, transfer them all over and dump them to
tape at that point, but if DPS does a Newtek on us and doesn't deliver
when they say, then It's more hassle than it's worth. Besides, most of my
projects are animation only (no video) and the Par has been fabulous for
the most part. Is there really that noticeable of a difference between
the Par and the Perception that I should have to sell my TBC IV, and
purchase a perception and the daughter card? I could see doing so if I
mox video in with the animations, but most of the time, the animations
don't come close to the 240 block limit and a qfactor of 23.
